The day to day operation of Hilltop House will be the responsibility of the registered manager, Ian Mosley and the responsible individual, Clark Gilkes.
Mr Mosley and Mr Gilkes are joint Managining Directors of OakLeaf Care (Hartwell) Ltd.
The Registered Manager and the Responsible Individual are supernumery and will ensure that the unit is able to meet the needs of it's service users and operates in full accordance with all regulatory needs.
A key worker approach to care will be implemented to insure an effective consistent and accountable care package.
Care staff will be given full management support, supervision and direction. OakLeaf Care (Hartwell) Ltd is commited to the training, development and educational needs of it's staff.
A team of administrive, catering, domestic and maintenance personnel will be under instruction from management to meet the unit's non-nursing needs. Consultants are in place to offer assessment, implementation and review of specific therapies, to include, Physiotherapy, Speech and Language therapy and Occupational therapy. All initial assessment costs associated with specialist services will be covered by the company, with any additional 1-1 specialist input being costed to the service user or client subject to prior agreement.
With the homes emphasis being on enhancing clients quality of life and reintegration, OakLeaf Care (Hartwell) Ltd supplies a unit vehicle, which will allow care staff to facilitate the easy transportation of clients. In addition to this a social/leisure budget of £12,000 per annum will be made available. This translates as equivalent to £1333 per annum/£111 per month for each service user. A flexible approach to staff working hours will be employed as this will enable the team to offer a generous social programme to clients.
Hilltop House has a large ground plan and offers room for 1:1 therapeutic input away from other service users. The unit also boasts 8 acres of grounds and gardens for use by clients. Clients will be offered all reasonable opportunity to make choices about their own timetable.
We demonstrate our recognition of the importance of clients being able to maintian (and in some cases re-establish) relationships with relatives, friends, or representatives by offering; 45 minutes of free phone calls (UK or mobile only per week not including any calls made to solicitors advocacy or care management, this cost will be covered by Hilltop House with 24 hour access provided. All other call charges over and above the afore mentioned will be the responsibility of the service user or the funder.
Hilltop House also encourages and welcomes family contact, within the grounds of Hilltop House there is a buidling known as "The Lodge" this is a self contained, 2 bedroomed facility that will allow clients to be visited by their families for up to 5 5 nights at a time (subject to prior agreement). Clients will be encouraged to spend time at "The Lodge" with their loved ones during the visit, rather than spending the visit within the unit. We feel that this will enable good levels of privacy and diginty. OakLeaf Care will charge a nominal fee to cover costs for use of "The Lodge".
The privacy and diginity of each client is paramount to us. We offer clients choice in every aspect of their lives, so far as is reasonable. Clients will choose aspects of their daily/weekly programme, diet, abnd structuring leisure and relaxtion time. Each client will have free access to their own room and areas of open space.
